MEET YOUR COUNSELLOR:

BRANDON WAKEFIELD,
BA, MA, RCC

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers

Welcome to Brandon Wakefield Counselling!

Professional Designation and Qualifications:

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) belonging to the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC Member #: 23334). I earned my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, graduating with distinction, as well as my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria. With over a decade of experience cultivated across academic institutions, community-based organizations, and private practice, I’ve had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life by offering meaningful support.

My Counselling Approach:

Negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviours can become entrenched, often leading to distress and disconnection in personal, relational, and family life. Together, we will identify, accept, and transform the patterns that may be keeping you stuck or otherwise hindering your ability to thrive.

I also emphasize the mind-body-environment connection, bringing awareness to present needs and supporting the nervous system’s return to balance — an understanding that has proven equally relevant for both individuals and couples who have experienced clarity and change through our time together.

Ultimately, my approach is integrative, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and goals. I offer a therapeutic experience that is non-judgmental, empathetic, and grounded in trust. No matter what you are carrying, I will meet you with warmth, respect, and compassion — just as you are.

My office is located at #107-9123 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC V2P 4H7, in the Chilliwack Family Centre near Chilliwack General Hospital.
